Katsuhiro Maeda, a popular and unique salaryman copperplate engraver, has announced the second series of his original copperplate prints in collaboration with the equally popular Taiwanese anime "Kura the Cat" (Jiǔ Zàng Miāo Wō)!

The three characters—Curare Roy Lord, King of the Cat Kingdom; Char Ott, Royal Palace Secretary; and Padle Zaju, Court Painter—are interspersed throughout Maeda's fantastical and charming works!

The titles of the copperplate prints use the Taiwanese character names, as chosen by Katsuhiro Maeda.

"Kura the Cat," currently airing on Tokyo MX TV in Japan, is a famous character that adorns the Taipei Underground Street in Taiwan.
It is also expanding its activities in Japan.

This is the second collaboration copperplate print series between copperplate engraver Katsuhiro Maeda and "Kura the Cat," first unveiled at a solo exhibition in December 2025!

On weekdays, Katsuhiro Maeda works as a cool salaryman at a major research institute, while on weekends, he works as a copperplate engraver using etching and aquatint techniques.
