This small scculptual work by metal artist Yoshiro Iwaisako features a mouse (hamster) as its motif.

Though a mouse would normally flee, wearing a samurai helmet instills in this tiny creature the courage to face battle.
Clad in an unfamiliar Jingasa (traditional samurai hat), it sets out boldly for the battlefield.

The jingasa is adorned with charming mouse ears, adding a playful and distinctive touch to the piece.

In this popular series, animals―typically cherished by people―are depicted wearing samurai helmets and armor, summoning the courage to confront their natural adversaries.
