This small sculptural artwork by metal artist Yoshiro Iwaisako features a mouse (hamster) as its motif.

Although a mouse would normally run away, wearing a samurai helmet gives this tiny creature the courage to face battle.
Clad in a jingasa (traditional samurai hat) and raising a signal smoke, the little warrior boldly prepares to set out for battle.

This piece can also be used as an incense holder.
Placing an incense stick at the tip of the signal smoke creates a vivid and atmospheric effect, while the oval-shaped base below can be used as an incense plate.

In this popular series, animals that are usually cherished by people are depicted wearing samurai helmets and armor, courageously confronting their natural enemies.
The works also convey a message that encourages people to face challenges with bravery and determination.

Despite its compact size, the piece carries a strong presence.
It makes a delightful addition to your home as a distinctive interior accent or as part of a contemporary art collection.
