Collection: Hiroyoshi ASAKA
We are pleased to present marble sculptures by contemporary artist Hiroyoshi ASAKA.
Asaka's "KASHOUMON" series, created in imitation of Styrofoam, employs visual illusion to convey a message to contemporary society: that appearances alone do not necessarily define reality.
His "KABUKIMON" series, carved from marble and inspired by the form of the Japanese sword, draws a parallel between the life of the samurai―where a single moment of carelessness could prove fatal―and the unforgiving act of carving stone, where even the smallest mistake cannot be undone.
Through both the creative process and the motifs themselves, the series seeks to carry the spirit of the samurai, a vital element of Japanese tradition, into the present day.
We invite you to experience these remarkable works by Hiroyoshi Asaka, an artist active both in Japan and internationally, within your own space and collection.
